Private School Choice

Georgia has three private school choice programs; an education savings account (ESA), a school voucher, and a tax-credit scholarship. Georgia has inter-district and intra-district open enrollment policies that allow some parents to transfer to traditional public schools outside and within their district. Georgia also has a few magnet schools.

Charter School Choice

Georgia has some charter schools. Charter schools are publicly funded schools that are free of many of the regulations that restrict traditional public schools.

Home School Choice

Parents have to follow certain laws in Georgia when homeschooling their children.
