Private School Choice

Minnesota has two private school choice programs, an individual tax credit and an individual tax deduction for educational expenses. These programs help families afford to send their children to participating private schools. * Minnesota Individual Tax Credit/Deduction [Learn More](https://www.edchoice.org/school-choice/programs/minnesota-education-deduction/) * Minnesota Refundable Tax Credits [Learn More](https://www.edchoice.org/school-choice/programs/minnesota-k-12-education-credit/)

Public School Choice

Charter School Choice

Minnesota has charter schools. Charter schools are publicly funded schools that are free of many of the regulations that restrict traditional public schools.

Home School Choice

Parents have to follow certain laws in Minnesota when homeschooling their children.
