The Education Freedom Account (EFA) Program allows all New Hampshire students to receive education savings accounts that can be used for private school tuition, tutoring, textbooks, curriculum, educational therapies, and other education-related expenses.

Voucher(1 program)

Town Tuitioning Program

New Hampshire’s Town Tuitioning Program, re-enacted and launched in 2017 to include private schools, allows towns without district schools at a student’s grade level to use public dollars for students to attend any public or approved independent (private), non-religious school in or outside of New Hampshire. The “tuitioning” district pays the tuition directly to the “receiving” schools.

Private School Choice

New Hampshire has three private school choice programs, an education savings account (ESA), a tax-credit scholarship and a voucher. Public School Choice

New Hampshire has inter-district and intra-district open enrollment policies, which allow some students to transfer to traditional public schools outside their zoned school. New Hampshire also has a few magnet schools.

Charter School Choice

New Hampshire has some charter schools. Charter schools are publicly funded schools that are free of many of the regulations that restrict traditional public schools.

Home School Choice

Parents have to follow certain laws in New Hampshire when homeschooling their children.
