Oklahoma’s Lindsey Nicole Henry Scholarships for Students with Disabilities provide vouchers to qualifying students with special learning needs. Students must have or qualify for an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or Individualized Service Plan (ISP) to participate in the program.

Refundable Tax Credits(1 program)

Oklahoma Parental Choice Tax Credit Act

The Oklahoma Parental Choice Tax Credit provides parents of students in private school a refundable tax credit ranging from a minimum of $5,000 up to a maximum of $7,500 per child to cover the cost of private school tuition and fees, or it provides parents of students in home school a refundable tax credit of $1,000 to cover the cost of unbundled educational expenses.

Private School Choice

Oklahoma has three private school choice programs, a school voucher, an individual tax credit/deduction, and a tax-credit scholarship. Public School Choice

Oklahoma has an inter-district open enrollment policy, which allows some students to transfer to traditional public schools outside their district. Oklahoma also has magnet schools.

Charter School Choice

Oklahoma has a few charter schools. Charter schools are publicly funded schools that are free of many of the regulations that restrict traditional public schools.

Home School Choice

Parents have to follow certain laws in Oklahoma when homeschooling their children.
