Education Savings Account(1 program)

Steamboat Legacy Scholarship Act

The Steamboat Legacy Scholarship Act is an expansion of the Wyoming Education Savings Account Program, which was passed in 2024. This Act provides for universal eligibility and increases the value of each ESA to $7,000. It also opens pre-kindergarten eligibility to families with incomes below 250% of the federal poverty guidelines, based on household size. The program’s funding comes from a $30 million appropriation.

Private School Choice

Public School Choice

Wyoming has inter-district and intra-district open enrollment policies, which allow some students to attend traditional public schools outside their zoned schools. Wyoming does not have magnet schools.

Charter School Choice

Wyoming has a handful of charter schools, which are publicly funded schools that are free from many of the regulations that restrict traditional public schools.

Home School Choice

Parents have to meet certain laws in Wyoming when homeschooling their children.
